In 1987, the Minnesota Twins clinched their first World Series victory since relocating from Washington in 1961, their second overall. The Twins faced off against the St. Louis Cardinals in a series that was unprecedented in featuring indoor games and home team wins in every match. This feat was later repeated in 1991 and 2001. The Twins' triumph was their first since 1924, when they were known as the Washington Senators. Notably, this was the inaugural World Series to display the series logo on jerseys, though only the Cardinals wore it.
